I’ve been less active with Seeds of Change because I’m planning my wedding yay! Low fee therapy sessions are still being provided and we are still out here 💁🏻‍♀️ really exciting things coming soon

This seems straightforward and simple until we actually need to use it and truly understand what this means. To me, I think every one of these steps is profoundly important #rainmethod

Easier said than done! But therapy can help us with the path to get there 💁🏻‍♀️

Here is a belated 2025 wrapped of Seeds of Change Coalition Inc, a 501(c)3 non profit dedicated to making therapy and therapeutic content accessible to the general population. This was our first year as a non profit entity, jump starting early with free therapy sessions during the horrific Palisades and Altadena fires of 2025. This year we have provided 75 low cost therapy appointments, as well as living essentials to those in need. We have donated to other non profits and partnered with amazing other non profits as well. Here’s to our first year, and many more to come !

Thank you to everyone that has donated to Seeds Of Change 🩷 some donations go to our eBay (search: seeds of change coalition) to fund our low fee therapy program, and some go directly to people in need via other amazing non profits, like @myfriendsplace
This round of donations (about 80lbs of clothing and shoes) went directly to homeless youth in Los Angeles 🥳

Radical acceptance is a great DBT skill to have in your pocket about things out of control like the weather 🩷 sometimes a simple mindset shift (which can be difficult of course) really can make a world of difference

Whether it’s the busyness of back to school or the adjustment to the shorter days, the transition to fall can be a hectic time for many. To help you with the stress of change and ground yourself in the present, here is a sensory grounding strategy, fall edition.

5 things you can see
Cozy up with your favorite book that gets you into the fall spirit. Perhaps a mystery or a romance. Or perhaps you’d prefer to take a walk around your neighborhood and focus your curious gaze on the animals around you and how they’re adapting to the season.

4 things you can feel
Notice the textures of the fall leaves as you feel the crunch beneath your feet, or how the dough of your homemade apple pie feels as you knead it. Maybe the texture of your chunky fall sweater brings you a sense of warmth and comfort.

3 things you can hear
The chirping of birds, the crunch of fall leaves, the list goes on…

2 things you can smell
A great opportunity to smell fall-themed candles or the pie baking in your oven.

1 thing you can taste
Pumpkin spiced lattes, anyone?

If you struggle with relationships with other people or constantly feel like an outsider- it might be a good indication to start therapy 💓 Seeds of Change partners with already established therapists to help them provide care to clients who could not otherwise afford therapy services. Seeds of Change Coalition Inc started as an idea between my grad school friends and I. We are licensed therapists wanting to do more for our community, especially knowing how difficult it can be to access mental health information and care. With the help of my amazing boyfriend’s entire family, Seeds of Change Coalition Inc was born. We spent countless hours/ days/ months creating SOCCI’s internal structure, making it legal, and creating our website. My boyfriend’s mother and father contributed tech help and so much of our amazing vintage clothing selection (refer to glamour shots of my boyfriends mother, a true diva 💅🏻)
We have a clothing drive and eBay to generate funding to help support vulnerable people in our communities. We know that communities are what you make them, and healing our communities is a labor of love 🫶🏻

Also a big thank you to the Fatollahi family, we could not have gotten up and running so quickly without them. We were able to start working so quickly that we began helping victims of the devastating Palisades fires just a few months after Seeds of Change was even an idea 🩷

Our Mission

Seeds of Change Coalition Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded by licensed therapists with the goal of creating a broader, positive impact on society.

"Our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can connect, heal, and grow together. We hope to accomplish this through guided group activities, supporting vulnerable members of the community, providing various resources, including but not limited to, funding therapy sessions and clothing. We help to empower participants to share their experiences, develop coping strategies, foster meaningful connections, and gain support.
